1940 Taken over by military to serve as respite for soldiers returning from Dunkirk
then used as internment camp before being returned in 1945 to Mr Dixon now 80 Years old
1947 He sold the camp to "Devon Coast Holiday Camps Ltd" who renamed the camp "Devon Coast Country Club"
